If you are planning to pass through UK immigration, you must complete a mandatory 10 day quarantine period at a hotel at Heathrow. Book a managed hotel quarantine package. If you are transiting through Heathrow, for onward travel to a domestic destination, having been in or traveled through a red list country, you must carry out your ten-day UK Government hotel quarantine at a Heathrow location.
There are a number of different COVID tests available and the requirements on testing required when travelling vary significantly by country.
For departing passengers — Please check carefully for any testing requirements, including the type of test, for traveling to different destinations via the Foreign Commonwealth Office website. For arriving passengers — Testing and quarantine requirements on return to the UK are dependent on the country you are arriving from and your vaccination status.
Please check the Government website to find out which tests you need to book. Proof of test bookings will be required by your airline, on your passenger locator form and on entry to the UK by Border Force Officials.
